The speedarticle Post - Issue 001

The speedarticle Post Issue 001 marks a return to analog storytelling for those who prefer the mechanical feel of a well-timed downshift over the distraction of a digital scroll. This newspaper is designed for the garage and the coffee table alike, celebrating the craft and history of the machines that connect us.

This issue explores the mythic origins of automotive filmmaking through a look at the legendary land speed film created for the E39 BMW M5 in 2000. We examine the evolution of Porsche racing dominance from the RS Spyder to the modern 963 LMDh and dive into the sharp engineering of rear multi-link suspension to see how it transformed unruly sports cars into precision tools.

Artist Alan Thornton shares his meditation on perception through halftone art that strips iconic forms down to their essential truths. From the visceral assault of the Lancia Delta S4 to the humble daily loyalty of a Peugeot 205 GTI, this issue gathers the stories that remind us why we fell in love with driving in the first place.

This is a monthly way to stay current on iconic cars and the people who keep the culture moving forward. Grab a copy, fold it up, and get some ink on your fingers.
